FAA administrator says Boeing is resetting after door plug ‘failure’


In a broadcast exclusive interview, FAA Administrator Michael Whitaker called the door-plug incident on an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 last January a “failure” for Boeing. But he said the company is going through a “substantial reset” and has the resources to rebuild “in a much higher quality.” NBC News’ Lester Holt reports.
